About pension
Pension Ametyst is a small family pension suitable for people seeking comfort, quality, peacefulness, and relaxation. Our non smoking environment is strictly enforced.
Our historical ground floor building from the classical period (although the main part of the house was built much sooner and has walls which measure beyond two meters in width) was enlarged in 1907 and served as a luxurious residence to a local factory owner. Between the years of 1997 and 2002 the building underwent total reconstruction and was prepared to be run as a pension.
Our pension is perfectly located both to access the town as well as to relax in the serenity of the garden.
The front of our building faces Latran Street, which is the main street of the town, full of café’s, shops, restaurants and pubs. It runs through the entire town and also leads to the main entrance of the Cesky Krumlov Castle. The back of the building faces our garden. From the garden guests can enjoy the peaceful natural surroundings which include spectacular views of the castle.
The ground floor consists of small shops, the pension office, the main door, and access to the pension garden. The garden is a peaceful sunlit oasis where guests can relax, read, and enjoy. Private rooms are located on the first floor and in the attic of our historical building.
Rooms and apartaments
Accommodation is possible in individual hotel style rooms consisting of standard or luxury, or in apartments. Standard rooms are located with windows facing the winding cobblestoned Latran Street.
As a pedestrian zone the street is quiet at night offering a peaceful stay. Luxury rooms and Apartments face the pension garden and Deer Park situated below the north side of the castle. Deer park is now a lovely natural setting which was once in fact a deer park. In addition to the wonderful garden view, park view, and view of the castle tower, these rooms are bathed in sunlight during the afternoon and offer the comfort of silence.
All rooms are equipped with ensuite facilities which include luxurious bathtubs, super standard furniture and furnishings, television, and internet access. Big apartments include all of the aforementioned as well as a kitchenette.
Each room embodies a very unique and charming character. The attic rooms are favorites for their beautiful wood beams, cozy spaces, and one offers a terrace. Other rooms have large windows offering lovely views.
Breakfast
The breakfast is prepared according to the wishes of the guest. You can request standard European breakfast, vegetarian breakfast, macrobiotic or a low caloric breakfast option. It is served in the comfort of your bedroom at the time it suits you, alternatively during the sunny weather you may enjoy to have your morning meal on the terrace.
Guests have the use of the kitchenette with a fridge, microwave and a kettle. The fridge has some basic drinks and you may stock it with the foods of your liking.
Access and parking
The access to the house is easy by car and you may appreciate also the guarded parking lot and the possibility of reserving a garage. In contacts section, you will find access description from the bus stop as well as directions from Prague Airport Ruzyne.

Environs of the pension
As you step out of the pension you can find important monuments and sights such as the castle area, renaissance tower, Church of St. Vita, museums, galleries etc... The pedestrian zone consists of local shops, pubs, various types of nightclubs, and also the Eggenberg Brewery.
Nearby you will find a fitness studio, tennis court, indoor swimming pool, and possibilities for raft and bike rentals. In addition you can visit the graphite mine for an exhibit. If you venture a few miles away you will find a shooting range, a golf course, and riding club. The surrounding area is a haven for nature lovers. Summer and autumn offer lovely wanderings through paths in the forest which include possibilities for picking berries and mushrooms or simply walking in fresh air to recharge your energy.
Other areas of interest slightly further away consist of Lipno lake, Celtic ruin Divci Kamen, renaissance castle Rozmberk, Vyssi Brod Monastery, Hluboka Castle, Holasovice village, and Blansky Les.
